Crimson & Velvet

A vintage-style graphic features a lace-edged oval with a cupid illustration at the top and red text reading: "CRIMSON & VELVET.

Love is Blind. History is Messy.

This Valentine’s Day, escape the ordinary and step into the shadows of Malahide Castle for Crimson & Velvet, an interactive evening of historic gossip, culinary delights and immersive theatre.

We’re ditching the traditional murder mystery and replacing it with a “scandal hunt” – a playful, light-hearted journey through the castle uncovering the dirty laundry of the aristocracy. As you explore, you’ll encounter tales of the past’s most infamous toxic couples, where passion ran high and propriety was often left behind.

Following the castle experience, guests will settle in to enjoy a luxurious four-course dinner, designed to complement an evening of romance, indulgence and storytelling.

This experience is fun, flirtatious and immersive – history with the gloves off, but never over the top. Expect plenty of craic, beautiful food and an unforgettable Valentine’s night in one of Ireland’s most iconic castles.

Valentine’s menu titled "A Dinner To Die For," with decorative borders and a cupid illustration. Features drinks, salmon, cream of pea and ham soup, beef tenderloin, and white chocolate mousse in elegant red script on a pink background.
