Classic Castle Tour
This is not just a tour of a castle; this is a trip through 800 years of history. Learn about the Talbot family and the historical events that shaped their lives, explore the private rooms and furniture and art collections, and hear tales of battles and banquets from our passionate guides. Your castle tour ticket includes entry into the Botanical Gardens & Butterfly House

Tours are approximately 45 minutes in length and are usually conducted through English by our passionate and knowledgeable guides. Audio guides are available in Irish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Mandarin.

Tour Details

• All tour tickets to be collected in advance at the Visitor Centre through the courtyard opposite the Abbey.
• Please arrive to the castle 10 minutes before your booked tour time to allow for check in and health & safety briefing.
• New safety protocols and measures have been implemented on our castle tours.
• Government recommended social distancing markers will be in place, you will be asked to use hand sanitizer provided on arrival, visitors are encouraged to wear face coverings if possible, and capacity is limited to adhere to government guidelines. Tour Guides will wear face shields for you added safety.
• For health and safety reasons we recommend using your own headphones for our audio guides. Sanitised headphones are also provided if necessary.
• Guided tours of Malahide Castle are available daily, all year around, with the exception of 24, 25, 26 December.

Booking Tour Tickets

We recommend booking your tour tickets online in advance, particularly during the summer months when tours can quickly fill up. Alternatively, you can purchase your tickets on the day in the Visitor Centre. Tour times are subject to availability when tickets are purchased on the day.
