Job Title: Digital Marketing & Destinations Specialist
Location: Based at Malahide Castle & Gardens but time split between Newbridge House and Farm (Supporting multiple Heritage & Tourism sites)
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-calibre Digital Marketing & Destinations Specialist to act as the digital right-hand to the Marketing Manager. This is a pivotal role within the estate’s leadership structure, responsible for the technical execution, creative output, and data-led storytelling for five distinct heritage and tourism brands.
You will bridge the gap between creative content and technical analytics, ensuring that every reel captured and every ad placed contributes directly to the commercial success of Malahide Castle, Newbridge House, and our associated attractions.
The Strategic Partnership
Working in close lockstep with the Marketing Manager, you will:
- Translate Strategy into Action: Take the overarching annual marketing vision and build the digital roadmaps to achieve it.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Provide the Manager with the “Why” behind the “What,” using analytics to suggest where to pivot budgets or double down on campaigns.
- Brand Stewardship: Act as the guardian of the digital “Voice” across all platforms, ensuring the Marketing Manager’s brand standards are met with 100% consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Data & “The Visitor Journey”
- Analytics Architecture: Maintain GA4 and Meta Pixel tracking via Google Tag Manager to ensure the Marketing Manager has accurate data for board-level reporting.
- Conversion Tracking: Map the journey from a “Like” on Instagram to a ticket sale, identifying friction points in the booking process.
- Unified Reporting: Use DashThis to create automated dashboards that merge social, web, and ad performance into one clear “Health Check” for the manager.
- Multi-Brand Content & Social Media
- High-End Production: Independently capture and edit photography and short-form video (Reels/TikTok) that reflects the prestige of the heritage sites.
- Portfolio Management: Full oversight of the digital presence for:
- Malahide Castle & Gardens/Malahide Castle Sports Pavillon
- Newbridge House & Farm
- The Courtyard Kitchen / Casino Model Railway /
- Trend Synthesis: Identify viral trends and local events, presenting the Marketing Manager with “quick-win” opportunities for engagement.
- Paid Media & Revenue Generation
- Ad Strategy: In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, execute paid campaigns across Meta and Google Ads, managing budgets to hit ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) targets.
- SEO & Blogging: Use AI-assisted tools to maintain a high-ranking SEO profile across three primary websites, ensuring our sites remain the “First Click” for tourists.
- Operational & Project Coordination
- Internal Liaison: Act as the digital bridge between Operations (onsite issues), Events (upcoming launches), and the Marketing Manager.
- Agency Management: Manage the day-to-day relationship with web developers and PR agencies & Influencers, handling POs and invoices to ensure the Marketing Manager stays focused on high-level strategy.
- Global Distribution: Ensure our presence on TripAdvisor, Google Business, and Failte Ireland is optimized and reflects the premium nature of the estates.
Essential Requirements
- Experience: at least 3 years of proven experience in a performance-driven marketing role.
- Technical Suite: Expert proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, GA4, and Canva.
- Creative Suite: Strong eye for visual aesthetics with skills in Photoshop/Lightroom and mobile video editing.
- Communication: A “Translator” mindset – the ability to turn complex digital metrics into clear, actionable updates for the Marketing Manager
- The 3 pillars: Knowledge of Creative Content production, Technical Analytics for performance tracking, and seamless Brand Coordination across all channels.
